a fairly simple patio is boldly decorated with a faux pergola panel.

A fairly simple patio boldly ornamented with a faux pergola panel where hanging baskets, metal ornaments, and perhaps a lovely Clematis will turn the area into a beautiful outdoor room.  The gently curving line of the patio edge is accentuated by the use of a boxwood hedge.

A bold Pergola is home to a small seating area, and is the anchor to this patio design that includes a small swimming pool and surrounding gardens.

An extremely low maintenance design, but still holds lots of interest thanks to the many changes in level, and the use of different types of stone further defining each area from the other.

Just a few bold coloured plants decorate and soften the space.

... and at the house end of this small backyard, a pergola adds more decorative interest, and will become a cozy spot for outdoor furniture.

This freestanding lattice panel, shaped to echo the lines of the deck, will serve to screen the view to the patio from neighbours, while being a support for vines.

A large pergola extends out into the grounds, carrying on the theme of the tall overhead deck's pillars.  Elegant outdoor dining, and integration of the various elements, is the result.
